Susan Boyle Album Photo
Susan Boyle’s management company have released the first picture from the photo shoot taken to promote her album last night – showing her smiling in the countryside of the Ardkinglas Estate in Cairndow, Argyll.
This photo, or another taken during the same shoot, will feature on the album cover, according to the Daily Mirror.
Meanwhile, another song rumoured to be on the album is a cover of Madonna’s 1995 track “You’ll See”.
A source told The Sun: “Susan chose it herself – it’s a song she has loved for years.
“She sang it at auditions for TV shows and music contests when she used to be cruelly turned away by people.
“At the end, when she was sometimes reduced to tears, she used to say, ‘You’ll See’.
“And she’s proof she can do it now as one of the most famous women in the world.”
In order to help Susan prepare for life on the road to promote her CD, both she and Pebbles, her cat, received a makeover, with Ms Boyle receiving a private shopping treat at Harrods in London.
According to reports, she purchased six designer dresses before subsequently going to Suzanne Neville’s nearby boutique. Pebbles, meanwhile, received the full works at a top pet salon.
A source told The Mirror: “Susan was very excited.
“She had never been to Harrods and they treated her like royalty. She was ushered into a private area and given personal shoppers.”
I expect Susan was more appreciative of the pampering than Pebbles.
Susan Boyle went Unrecognised after her Hollywood Makeover

Susan Boyle before and after her makeover
Susan Boyle is now so glamorous that even her fans didn’t recognise her after her makeover, according to an article in the Daily Star
Tourists who were staying at The Cleveden House Hotel, where the photo shoot took place, has no idea that the beautiful and glamourous woman being photographed was Susan Boyle.
Susan Boyle was receiving a makeover in preparation for a glossy photo shoot for Harper’s Bazaar, details and videos of which are here.
A source at the hotel told The Star: “More than 200 million people saw her Talent audition on YouTube. Yet not one guest realised the woman being photographed was Susan Boyle. She found it hilarious.”
Susan Boyle’s Hollywood Makeover
A delight here for all Susan Boyle fans, Susan Boyle’s Hollywood Makeover for Harper’s Bazaar Magazine can now be viewed online. Here is a Harper’s Bazaar video of the makeover taking place:
The photo shoot, which is available in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar Magazine (I can hear your little footsteps rushing out to get your copy right now!) is called:”Susan Boyle: Unsung Hero.”
Susan looks the nicest I’ve ever seen her look, and she said herself the designer gowns that she wore made her “feel like a movie star”.
“It really made me feel like a Hollywood actress. Had my hair done up,” she added.
When asked how she was feeling about her rise to fame, Susan told Harper’s Bazaar: “It does feel unreal. It will take a bit of adjusting to because I’ve led a sheltered life, I know. I’ve got life experience, but mentally I have to adjust. But it’s all good. All good.”
When asked if she did the right thing auditioning for the show, she says: “Come on! It goes without saying. Come on now!”
Laura Brown, the special projects editor for Harper’s Bazaar, spoke to NBC’s Today Show. She said: “The idea behind the shoot was a very, very simple one.
“It was to take gorgeous, glamorous and sensitive portraits of her. This was her first magazine photo shoot, so you can’t do too much too soon.
“What we did was give her a little bit of a haircut, and a little bit of a curl.. actually the shape of her hair is great.. so we just tidied it up a little bit and paired it with some natural makeup, and she looked great.’
You can see the video of Laura Brown’s NBC interview here:
The photo shoot took place in Cliveden, a luxurious Italianate mansion, which was once home to Waldorf Astor and his bride, Nancy Langhorne, and is now a hotel just outside London.
Susan reveals that when she sang “I Dreamed a Dream”, she wasn’t dreaming about becoming a singer. She was thinking about the place she found herself in after her 91 year old mother whom she lived with passed away in 2007.
“I did the audition for her because she always wanted me to make something of my life, but I had to wait a bit because her death prevented me from singing for a while. I couldn’t put my heart into it. So I was singing about wanting things to be like they were before she went. You know, it was a double-edged sword because it was about what I wanted to do, but it was also about wanting to turn back to when she was with me. Powerful stuff.”
Susan Boyle Makeover Complete
Susan Boyle is looking very attractive now, as her upcoming interview on the Today show demonstrates.
However, one American reporter, from Entertainment Weekly, has questioned the fact that there are “no tears” during Susan’s interview with Meredith Viera. The reporter, Tanner Stransky, asks the reader “I’m evil for suggesting she squeeze out a few tears, right?” and asks: “What’d you think of the preview? Are you going to watch the Boyle interviews on Wednesday? Do you even care about her anymore?”
Well, it is interesting to see what happens in America when the press starts to turn on somebody that the people love (Brits take note!).
PM Taylor says: “Of course I plan to watch the interview. I’m a Susan Boyle fan so yes I care. I plan to buy her CDs and attend a concert if I get the chance because I absolutely love her voice.
As for the interview, why would you expect ( or want ) tears? Obviously she’s recovered from exhaustion and feels fine.
Maybe you don’t get it. Susan’s not a curiosity anymore, she’s a major talent.”
Linda commented: “I looked up Tanner Stransky’s photo as suggested in a comment. He’s not a keeper. Sorry.”
Cheryl says: “You think you got a lot of comments on this article ,try writing something NICE NEXT time and see how many comments you get. FORGET SUSAN BOYLE NOT LIKELY FORGET YOU VERY LIKELY.”
Terry M is more direct: “Stransky, You’re a piece of crap……period…..How did you’re parents raise you? How do you look in the mirror?”

Simon Cowell gets a Susan Boyle makeover
Susan Boyle has been very kind and has let her famous style be adopted by Simon Cowell, as he felt his image updating. The result of this transformation is available exclusively here on my Susan Boyle fan site!
I think Simon looks incredibly handsome with his new look, don’t you? Various friends of mine know to their cost that this is not the first time I have been mischievous when presented with a photo and some clever software.
I got the idea for this transformation from an article that appeared in today’s Telegraph, where they are reporting on an American current affairs programme, The Daily Show, who have themselves given Gordon Brown a Susan Boyle makeover.
This makeover has apparently lead to an increase in popularity for Mr Brown across the water, as most Americans didn’t really pay much heed to him before the Susan Boyle transformation brought him to their attention.
Nevertheless, I think that Simon Cowell benefits far more from the Susan Boyle makeover than Gordon Brown, although admittedly, everyone across the world already knows who Simon Cowell is.
Susan Boyle Continues her Makeover with Eyebrow Shaping and a Chestnut Rinse
Susan Boyle was famously nicknamed the “Hairy Angel” after her performance on Britain’s Got Talent on April 11th, 2009. However, her eyebrows are now looking somewhat less hairy. The photo above shows Susan’s eyebrows before and after being shaped. I do think they look better now that they have been tamed. Reports also say that Miss Boyle has coloured her greying hair chestnut brown.
However, the bosses at Britain’s Got Talent are said to be “frantic”, as they feel that it would have been better for Ms Boyle to maintain her frumpy appearance until the final of the competition, although a Britain’s Got Talent spokeswoman insisted: ‘Susan’s a grown woman and can do what she likes with her hair.’ Indeed.
It is impressive that Susan has felt strong enough to ignore “advice” and do what she wants regardless. Don’t let yourself be bullied, Susan. That’s what I say!
A neighbour has confided with The Sun: ‘The TV folk might not like what she’s done with herself.
‘She looks really nice – nothing like the image that’s had the whole world talking about her.’
Photos taken yesterday show Susan trying to keep her new hairstyle covered. But chestnut wisps of hair could be seen emerging from a makeshift hood.
A local hairdresser, Caroline Boyle, who is not related to Susan, is said to have been responsible for dyeing, cutting and straightening Susan’s frizzy locks.
However, Susan cannot keep herself hidden forever, and with all the reporters in the area, I suspect it is probably only a matter of time before Susan’s new hairstyle is revealed to the world.
Regardless of her makeover, Susan remains the bookie’s favourite to win the Britain’s Got Talent £100,000 prize.
Susan Boyle Completes her Makeover with this Stunning New Look

As I suspected just earlier this morning, Susan Boyle’s fantastic new look has now been revealed to the world in these amazing new photos. With eyebrows neatly shaped, hair nicely styled and coloured and a smart new look (is that a Burberry scarf I see? Or perhaps it’s tartan?) she certainly now looks a lot more the way we seem to feel an emerging global phenomenon should look.
Bosses at the Britain’s Got Talent show on ITV are said to be furious. They are concerned that viewers won’t respond as positively to Susan Boyle’s more polished appearance. Indeed, Amanda Holden, with her perfect hair and makeup, said that Susan should “stay exactly as she is as that’s the reason we love her. The minute we turn her into a glamourpuss it’s spoilt.”
It’s easy for her to say that, when she is a glamourpuss! How would she like it if it were suggested to her that if she were a little less attractive, it would enhance her career. I suspect her response would not be quite so favourable in that regard.
I think everyone is missing the point. Susan Boyle is still a middle aged virgin. She is not going to turn into Madonna overnight by having her hair styled, eyebrows plucked and buying some new clothes. She still has everything that endeared her to us in the first place. Given the current spotlight she finds herself under, isn’t it only natural that she has started to take more interest in her appearance?
Actress Rosie O’Donnell Offers Support for Susan on her Blogg
Rosie O’Donnell has written on her blog that she was pleased that Boyle, who was sniggered at by the judges on “Britain’s Got Talent,” before she opened she sang that is, exemplified talent over looks.
“Out she came, like Fiona in shrek, reminding us all how to shine inside,” O’Donnell wrote. She added that shes hopes that Susan doesn’t get changed and revamped by a stylist in the near future. However, O’Donnell’s view was on that subject was contradicted by the readers of a website who voted overall that she should have a makeover.
O’Donnell stated: “Susan boyle, a woman I hope never gets a make over, her brows forever bushy, reminding the world, where beauty lives,” Rosie wrote.
Susan herself has said that she has no plans for an image overhaul at the moment.
“Maybe I’ll consider a makeover later on,” she said to a Times reporter. “For now I’m happy the way I am — short and plump. I would not go in for Botox or anything like that. I’m content with the way I look. What’s wrong with looking like Susan Boyle? What’s the matter with that?”
I think that it’s great to change public opinions, that the talented are beautiful and the untalented are ugly. Discrimination in any form deprives the human population as a whole of its most gifted contributors.
Susan Boyle gets a makeover
Susan Boyle felt that she looked fat and frumpy when she appeared on Britain’s Got Talent. In fact, she described herself as looking like a “Garage”. Despite advice from Amanda Holden to stay as she is, Susan Boyle has obviously treated herself to some nice new clothes, looking at this photo. The leather jacket is gorgeous and the dress is very smart.
In addition, nicknames such as “The Hairy Angel” do nothing for one’s self esteem. So Susan has seen a hairdresser for the first time in years to get some help in controlling her wild, frizzy hair. (I could do with a few tips for mine aswell).
She’s also watching what she eats, because she did feel she was carrying a few extra pounds when she watched herself on TV. However, it has to be said that is didn’t put off 100 million and odd YouTube viewers!
“I just want to look nice, and smart,” said Susan.
Susan has received letters of support from all over the world, from places as far flung as New Zealand and Brazil. “It’s just unbelievable”.
Susan is now starting to get nervous at the thought of her next TV performance, but she has been practising all the time to give herself confidence.
