Susan has “Cash Crisis” according to Gerry Boyle

Susan Boyle Cash CrisisSusan Boyle is restricted to ?300 per week and cannot afford to furnish her new home, according to an article in the News of the World.

Hmm. I really don’t believe this one. At all. I seem to remember Susan was fed up with her brothers talking to the press, wasn’t she?

Anyway, for completeness here is a summary of what has been said. It would appear that Gerry Boyle told the News of the World: “When Susan realised she can’t just walk into a bank and take out her own money she had a fit because she thought she was down to her last few quid.

“Her millions are ring-fenced but Susan has no concept of money. She was extremely distressed. She lives in fear of losing everything and returning to her old life before she made it big.”

Gerry says an emergency meeting was held at Susan’s ex-council house on June 17th, with brother John and sister Mary.

“Susan said to me, ‘I’ve been told I get ?300 a week because I’m a novice. I don’t have the money to go and buy the furniture’.

“So she’s still stuck in the small council house where we all grew up. She should be able to walk into a bank anywhere and say she wants ?50,000 cash. That may not be advisable, but it would be HER choice because it’s HER money.

“Susan is baffled about money. All she wants to do is sing. So we asked the questions that should have been asked a while ago: WHY doesn’t she even have a credit card? WHY does she feel she doesn’t have control over her finances?

“Susan isn’t financially astute but she IS worried about her situation. She looks very distraught at the moment. And we’ve got worries about her safety, too. She visits the local Tesco most days all on her own. So we raised concerns about security with her management.

“Susan doesn’t look as if she’s a successful international chart star. She’s lonely and downtrodden. And she’s got this paranoia that she’s going to go back to square one, back to where she was before Britain’s Got Talent.”

A spokesperson for SyCo said: “Finances are handled between artists and their management. We do not comment on such matters.”

Susan Boyle’s brother, Gerry, speaks out. Again.

Susan Boyle legal actionThe thought of impending legal action has not quietened down Susan Boyle’s brother, Gerry Boyle.

In a new interview with New Magazine, Gerry talks further about how he believes Susan Boyle’s career is being controlled and what her mother would think.

He says:”She would be immensely proud. But also immensely concerned. Susan’s the youngest and we promised our mother that she would always be looked after. Unfortunately, here we are cut off from her.”

Ooh, a bit below the belt playing the mother card, Gerry!

Gerry also explained why he is continuing to speak out.

“She (Susan) said we shouldn’t be talking to the press, but I feel it’s our duty to say we’re not happy, because if something goes wrong, we’ll be slated for not looking after her.”

Susan Boyle to sue her brothers?

Susan Boyle sues brothersSusan Boyle is suing her brothers Gerry and John Boyle for breach of privacy, according to an article that appeared in today’s Sunday Express.

According to the report, she is suing her brothers Gerry and John Boyle for breach of privacy after they gave an interview saying that were concerned about her wellbeing.

Susan is reportedly hurt that her relatives are speaking to the media about her and her career, and she is fed up with the constant intrusions into her personal life.

The legal action was instigated after the publication last week of a magazine interview given by Gerry and John Boyle. Gerry and John have their own agent to deal with media requests on the back of Susan’s fame, so says the Express.

Gerry Boyle has spoken frequently to the media about his concern at the way Susan’s career is managed, although I have usually not reported these stories on this website as this is a fan site for Susan and I want this site to remain light hearted, pleasant and joyous, with good news about Susan’s album releases and tours, etc. Nevertheless, if Susan is indeed suing her brothers than I feel this website would be incomplete without a report of it. I do hope all the Susan fans understand this.

Gerry and John insist that they are fully supportive of Susan. However, they have made a number of allegations about how her career is managed and her state of mind, and in the interview they said the family is increasingly being ?frozen out? of Susan’s life.

They also expressed concern over the cancellation of her Australia Tour and of reports of her allegedly bizarre behaviour, and in an interview with a US magazine, John claimed that Susan was ?not being looked after properly?.

I don’t know the rights and the wrongs of all this. I do know that families fall out with each other at the best of times, just not normally under the spotlight of the media. I just want Susan to know, should she ever read my humble fan site, that all of us fans love and support her.

Susan Boyle to buy her Blackburn Council House

Susan Boyle outside her house in BlackburnSusan Boyle is staying true to her roots as she has decided to buy her council house in Blackburn, West Lothian. Susan has lived in the house since she was a baby, but has never been able to afford to buy it, until now.

(A note for my American friends and other visitors from outside the UK. A council house is a house owned by the local council or district authority. Previous government legislation gave council house tenants the “right to buy” their council houses at a reduced market value dependent upon how long they had lived in the house.)

Gerry Boyle, Susan’s big brother, told the Daily Record: “Susan walked into the local council office and told them that although she was living in London, she didn’t want them to rent her house to anyone else.

“I think people were a bit shocked to see her but they told her they had no plans to let it go to anyone else – and now she wants to buy it. She will never forget her roots.”

Gerry also added : “She has been given a mobile phone for the first time but can only make calls. She hasn’t got her head round texting yet.”

Gerry also told The Scotsman that Simon Cowell has had Susan Boyle’s cat, Pebbles, transported to her luxury Kensington flat and has given her a credit card so she can go shopping. Susan has had fun buying new clothes, getting her teeth whitened (we know Mr Cowell is an advocate of cosmetic dentistry) and she has a personal assistant called Julia.

It is also rumoured that Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber is helping Simon Cowell and Susan put together her new album.

Susan told Gerry about meeting her idol Elaine Paige for the first time: “It was fantastic to be on TV with Elaine,. When I watched the interview back I felt like a megastar for the first time. I can’t believe how much my life has changed in the past few weeks. I am so happy.”

However, Susan has also expressed fear about her life going back to the way it was previously, asking: “What happens if it all stops?”

Susan Boyle defended by her brothers

Susan Boyle’s brothers have leapt to her defence, after reports circulating widely in the press claim that she close to cracking up under the intense pressure and media scrutiny.

In an interview with the Edinburgh Evening News, Susan’s brother John Boyle said:? “She has been constantly hounded by fans for the past seven weeks. Like anyone she has a breaking point ? she is only human after all.

“Celebrities have professional people who insulate them from these stresses but she hasn’t had this protection.”

John criticised the Britain’s Got Talent chiefs for not doing more to look after Ms Boyle and protect her.

However, a spokesman from Britain’s Got Talent told the Press Association that Susan was receiving the support she needed from the show’s producers.

Another of Susan’s brothers, Gerry Boyle, said that Susan was coping well with the pressure under the circumstances. He said: “Susan is under tremendous strain, but she seems to be coping. She would be inhuman not to be nervous.

“She realises she’s a contestant in an open competition.

“She’s slightly bemused that people think it’s a Susan Boyle show. Her background teaches her not to think that, although she desperately wants to win and have a career around it.”

Currently the following acts have secured places in the final: Susan Boyle, Diversity, Flawless, Shaheen Jafargholi, Two Grand, Julian Smith, Shaun Smith and Stavros Flatley. Tonight’s semi final features young singer Hollie Steel, talented dancer Aidan Davis and? male soprano Greg Pritchard amongst others, all hoping for a place in tomorrow’s final.
