Susan Boyle Finally Moves into her New Home

Susan Boyle's new homeSusan Boyle finally moved into her new home, it was reported in today’s Daily Mail. Susan bought the £300,000 house, lovely, but modest by celebrity standards, in March this year, but had until this weekend continued to live in her ex-council home that she had shared with her late mother.

She was photographed welcoming two of her friends into the new home. and looked happy and relaxed.

It had been reported by Susan’s brother, Gerry Boyle, that she could not afford to furnish the home, as despite amassing £10,000,000 in royalties from the sale of her albums, the money was said to be “ring fenced” and Susan was reportedly living on just £500 per week. However, I very much doubt that Susan would move into an unfurnished home, and we also aware of reports that Susan was unhappy at her brother constantly talking to the press.

Susan Boyle turns down LA move

Susan Boyle and PebblesSusan Boyle has turned down a move to Los Angeles to live with the rich and the famous, according to an article in today’s Sunday Express.

According to the article, Susan’s main reason for turning down the move is that she does not want to uproot her pet cat, Pebbles.

Executives at Sony Music offered Susan the opportunity to live in a £10 million rented mansion in a secure and exclusive California community after the most recent break in at her council home in Blackburn, West Lothian. However, Susan is worried that a move would upset Pebbles, saying: “Pebbles doesn’t want to move. She’s lived there all her life and cats hate upping sticks”.

A source from Sony was quoted as saying:

“Susan told us she couldn’t possibly be happy without her cat with her, even though we told her we’d fly Pebbles over here too. She seemed terribly sad but said she feared her pet might not survive the flight and, even if it did, might not settle by the ocean.

“She blew us away. We even offered her a housekeeper, assistant and a chauffeur but she stuck to her guns.”

Susan has lived in her ex council house home since she was born.

A friend of Susan’s said: “She is a home-buddy. I couldn’t see her leaving everyone she has here.”

However, not everyone thinks it would be a good idea for Susan to move to LA. Scottish presenter Ross King, who lives in Los Angeles, says she is better off staying where she is. He said: “LA is the toughest of tough towns to live in. There are people here who might try to take advantage of her. I think she would find it very very hard.”

Susan Boyle finds intruder at her home

Susan Boyle disturbs intruder at her homeSusan Boyle returned home from recording the Haiti single to find an intruder at her home.

According to BBC News, a man was detained by police but subsequently released pending further inquiries.

It is understood that Susan had just flown back from London after contributing to the Helping Haiti charity single.

The man ran out of Susan’s house in Blackburn, West Lothian, when she opened the front door on Tuesday night.

A spokesman told the BBC: “Lothian and Borders Police were called to an address in Blackburn at around 9.50pm yesterday following reports of a disturbance.

“A man was detained in connection with the incident and released pending further inquiries.”

Despite Susan’s fame, she still lives in the same (ex) council house that she grew up in. Security is thought to have been increased recently at the dwelling – though not by enough, it would appear. What happens if the next nutter that Susan encounters doesn’t run away? It just doesn’t bear thinking about.

Susan Boyle is Happy at Home with her “Feet on the Ground”

Susan Boyle at homeSusan Boyle is relaxing at her home in Blackburn, West Lothian, happy in the knowledge that she is a record breaking recording artist, but with her “feet on the ground”.

Susan hasn’t got much time to do interviews at the moment. However, she has been speaking to the West Lothian Courier, her local newspaper, about her current success and achievements.

Susan told the courier that she couldn’t believe how successful she had become.

She said: “It’s been fantastic, I’m glad to be back with my feet on the ground.

“I really don’t have time for anything just now, but I’ll speak to the Courier because I love reading it.”

Susan’s spokeswoman said: “In America, Susan is already outselling Rihanna, Lady Ga Ga and 50 Cent with a projected first week sales figure of around a million.

“In doing so she is set to break Eminem’s previous record for highest first week US sales this year.

“Susan has broken retail records around the world including selling 80,000 copies in four short sales windows on QVC and becoming the biggest pre-ordered album in the history of Amazon.”

Susan’s earnings are predicted to exceed £10 million in the next 12 months.

In other news, Susan is taking steps to increase security at her Blackburn home. Instead of choosing to live in a huge gated mansion, Susan is instead taking advice on improved security measures for her (ex) council home so she can still live amongst her friends and family, and not disrupt the life of her treasured cat, Pebbles.

Susan Boyle “I Dreamed a Dream” Sales Higher Than Predicted

Susan Boyle happy in dressing gownSusan Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream debut album is likely to outstrip the original sale predictions for the US. Currently, the album is on track to sell in the region of 675,00 copies (she has already sold more than 625,000 copies).

The fastest selling album of the year in the US previously was Eminem The Relapse which sold 608,000 copies in its first week on sale.

Susan’s album sale success has occurred despite some shops running out of the album and therefore being unable to meet the demand.

Combining the UK and the US, Susan’s album will have sold close to 1.2 million copies. It is also destined to enter the Canadian and Australian charts at number one.

Meanwhile, Susan is keeping her feet firmly on the ground. After her highly successful stint in the US, she has returned to her home in Blackburn, West Lothian, and has been pictured waving happily to fans from the doorstep of her (ex) council house.

Susan Boyle arrives in New YorkSusan Boyle has arrived at JFK airport in New York, in readiness for her live performance on NBC’s Today show this morning. She will get to explore the Big Apple on Tuesday.

Susan will be singing three songs from her debut album, which was released today, at Manhattan’s Rockefeller Center.

“The album itself is like a reflection on my whole life,” Susan says. “I’ve waited so long to become a professional singer and now it’s become real.”

In other news, Susan has confirmed that she won’t be moving out of her ex council house home in Blackburn, West Lothian, any time soon.

“I don’t want to be moving an inch away from my family, and Pebbles doesn’t want to move,” Susan said, speaking to the News of The World.

“She’s lived there all her life and cats hate upping sticks.

“I’m the wee wifey with the mop and the cat next door. It’s what keeps me grounded — remembering I am just that wifey. And Pebbles would hate to live anywhere posh.”

And here is Susan Boyle being interviewed as she arrived in New York, by GMTV’s Sue Jameson:

Susan Boyle takes a holiday at home

Susan Boyle has recently taken a holiday – at home!

Susan is currently in the midst of recording her debut album, and she is currently living in Kensington, London, according the the Sunday Mirror.

A source said: “As soon as she got some time off, there was never any chance Susan would head for St Tropez or Barbados.

“She was always going home to Blackburn. It is the place where she feels happiest and most at ease.”

Susan stayed in her council house and went to church, caught up with friends and enjoyed fish and chips.

I wonder if any tourists were lucky enough to meet her?

Susan Boyle to buy her Blackburn Council House

Susan Boyle outside her house in BlackburnSusan Boyle is staying true to her roots as she has decided to buy her council house in Blackburn, West Lothian. Susan has lived in the house since she was a baby, but has never been able to afford to buy it, until now.

(A note for my American friends and other visitors from outside the UK. A council house is a house owned by the local council or district authority. Previous government legislation gave council house tenants the “right to buy” their council houses at a reduced market value dependent upon how long they had lived in the house.)

Gerry Boyle, Susan’s big brother, told the Daily Record: “Susan walked into the local council office and told them that although she was living in London, she didn’t want them to rent her house to anyone else.

“I think people were a bit shocked to see her but they told her they had no plans to let it go to anyone else – and now she wants to buy it. She will never forget her roots.”

Gerry also added : “She has been given a mobile phone for the first time but can only make calls. She hasn’t got her head round texting yet.”

Gerry also told The Scotsman that Simon Cowell has had Susan Boyle’s cat, Pebbles, transported to her luxury Kensington flat and has given her a credit card so she can go shopping. Susan has had fun buying new clothes, getting her teeth whitened (we know Mr Cowell is an advocate of cosmetic dentistry) and she has a personal assistant called Julia.

It is also rumoured that Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber is helping Simon Cowell and Susan put together her new album.

Susan told Gerry about meeting her idol Elaine Paige for the first time: “It was fantastic to be on TV with Elaine,. When I watched the interview back I felt like a megastar for the first time. I can’t believe how much my life has changed in the past few weeks. I am so happy.”

However, Susan has also expressed fear about her life going back to the way it was previously, asking: “What happens if it all stops?”

Susan Boyle preparing for her interview with Oprah Winfrey via Skype from her home in West Lothian.

susan-boyle-pink-feather-boa

Susan Boyle will be appearing on the Oprah Winfrey show in the US on Monday 11th May, and the interview is likely to be viewed by more than 20million people in the US.

However, it is believed that the bosses at Britain’s Got Talent have forbidden her from singing live on the show, as they feel it would give her an unfair advantage over the other contestants.

Susan is planning to show Oprah and her 20 odd million viewers around her modest council house in West Lothian that she shares with her cat, Pebbles.

According to Hello Magazine, the camera crew arrived on Tuesday morning, but stopped filming briefly in the afternoon to allow Ms Boyle to have a “nap”. They later mocked up a scene where Susan ushers them away from the paparazzi installed outside her door, and invites them in for tea and cake.

Susan Boyle will be appearing on a special Oprah Winfrey show that is featuring guests selected from the 40 different countries where Britain’s Got Talent is filmed. Simon Cowell will also be appearing on the show. The show is titled The World’s Got Talent. Show producers have released a statement saying: “‘Internet sensation and Britain’s Got Talent contestant Susan Boyle welcomes our cameras for a view inside her Scotland home, and makes her ‘Oprah’ show debut”‘.
