Susan Boyle a British Oprah Winfrey?
Sinitta has said in an interview with Heart FM that Susan Boyle could enjoy lasting fame as a TV talk show host.
Sinitta, who was a pop star in the 1980s, is one of Simon Cowell’s ex girlfriends and one of his closest friends and TV aides. “If she wins Britain’s Got Talent, she will go on to host it or have her own show. She’ll be like the British Oprah.”
Sinitta also added that she thought that Simon Cowell might be attracted to Susan Boyle because “I think there’s something about her.”
However, earlier in the week, Amanda Holden said that she didn’t believe that Susan Boyle’s career would have longevity, although she did say that she would be an “instant international superstar”.
Susan Boyle labelled “Overrated” by Lily Allen

Susan Boyle should know that there is at least one celebrity who does not claim to be a fan. Straight talking Lily Allen, a young talented singer songwriter who has strong views about a number of people in the public eye, turned her attention to Susan Boyle this weekend on Twitter.
She tweeted that Susan Boyle is “so overrated” but then added “Je suis overrated aussi,” in franglais! (I am overrated too).
When other users defended Susan’s talent, Lily stated:? “I’m allowed to have an opinion. I thought her timing was off, no control, and I don’t think she has an amazing voice.
“Yes, she can sing, but it’s not about talent with her, is it? She seems like a lovely lady but if its about talent, that Shaheen kid should win.”
She added: “I have never in my life claimed to be talented. I do work hard at writing songs and putting on entertaining concerts though.”
Allen also said that Britain’s Got Talent is “verging on child cruelty” with the treatment of “that poor little Natalie girl” and she said that her “goddaughter aged four was in a hysterical fit of tears” watching the programme.
Feel free to comment below on what you think about Lily Allen’s views.
Queen requests Susan Boyle at The Royal Variety Performance
The Queen has personally requested that Susan Boyle appears at the Royal Variety Performance, according to an article in The Sun.
However, in the unlikely event that Susan doesn’t win BGT that could cause a problem – because only the winner is supposed to appear in front of the Queen.
Meanwhile, Amanda Holden has invited Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher to watch Susan Boyle in the BGT final, offering Simon Cowell’s private jet as transport.
Andrew Lloyd Webber may give Susan Boyle a role in one of his West End musicals

Is Andrew Lloyd Webber going to make Susan Boyle a leading lady?
Andrew Lloyd Webber has today stated that he might be giving Britain’s Got Talent star and internet sensation Susan Boyle a starring role in one of his West End musicals. Nobody has yet said which musical, but the role of Eva Peron in Evita is thought to be a likely candidate. In her Britain’s Got Talent audition, Ms Boyle did say that she aspired to be like Elaine Paige, who originally made the role famous.
Andrew Lloyd Webber, 61-years-old, met Ms Boyle at a recording studio in London when she was down for the day on Tuesday for the rehearsals and preparation for the semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent.
As long as you don’t enter her for the Eurovision, Andrew, it’s fine with me!
“She is a terrific sport and she’s a great fan of my shows,” he was quoted as saying in “The Sun” newspaper.
“If she wanted to be in one, well it could happen. It would have to be the right role. Maybe I know what it could be, but I’m not telling. She’s got a great future,” he added.
Susan Boyle flies to London for a Costume Fitting
Susan Boyle flew down to London on Tuesday for a costume fitting, in preparation for the semi finals of Britain’s Got Talent, it has been reported in the Daily Telegraph. She was resplendent in her favourite red jacket, a pink feather boa and denim jeans. She was also wearing her white bead necklace, a gold chain, pink lipstick and was carrying a black briefcase – perhaps containing the music for her semi-final performance?
Susan was surrounded by photographers and paparazzi and unsurprisingly appeared a little uncomfortable with all the attention. However, she was whisked away by a people carrier with darkened windows, to the costume, make-up and rehearsal studio in North London.
It was very much a whistlestop tour for Susan – after an interview, she returned to Heathtrow for a same day flight back to Edinburgh. After she arrived in Edinburgh, she would have to make her own way back to West Lothian late at night. Sounds like a very tiring day to me!
Susan Boyle’s Performance of I Dreamed a Dream is the Most Memorable TV moment of the last year
Susan Boyle’s performance of I Dreamed A Dream on Britain’s Got Talent has been voted the most memorable TV moment of the last year.
In the MSN Entertainment online poll, her performance took more than 25% of the vote, beating the second placed James Corden giving the England footballers a pep talk for Comic Relief.
Susan Boyle is not quitting Britain’s Got Talent and is not “Close to a Breakdown”
Susan Boyle has refuted rumours that she is about to quit Britain’s Got Talent and laughed off rumours that she is on the verge of cracking up.
Susan Boyle says that current rumours that she is on the verge of a nervous breakdown are “nonsense”.
Susan Boyle, a volunteer for the church in West Lothian, Scotland, has been under intense scrutiny since her appearance on Britain’s Got Talent. Her brother, Gerard, said earlier this week that she was “struggling to cope with life in the spotlight”.
However, in a new interview, Boyle maintained: “I’m feeling very well, bright as a button, in fact. I’m not stressed and I’m certainly not on the verge of a breakdown! I’ve never felt more positive. It’s all nonsense.”
Other rumours said that she wanted to quit the show now and concentrate on a career in the US, whilst she was enjoying great popularity there, Of this, Ms Boyle said: “There is absolutely no truth in that either. There is no way I am quitting the show. The only way I’d leave the show is if Simon Cowell kicked me out. I’m not going anywhere. I just want to concentrate on my singing.”
Although Susan Boyle is favourite to win the competition, she said that she is nervous about her next performance.”I can only concentrate on the song I’d like to sing if I make it through to the next round. I wouldn’t say I’m confident – I’m nervous, in fact, but nerves can be a good thing because they make you do your best on the big night.”
She added: “I’d like to say all the best to everybody on Britain’s Got Talent, and to everyone who has supported me so far I’d like to say thank you – it is very much appreciated. All I can promise is to do my best and confirm to everyone that I’m not leaving the show.”
You’re welcome Susan!
When Susan’s brother Gerard Boyle spoke this weekend he said that Susan was finding it difficult to cope with all the pressure of being suddenly famous.”When I last spoke to her she sounded exhausted. I said, ‘How are you?’ and she said, ‘Oh, Gerard, I’ve been here, there and everywhere…’. I could tell she was absolutely shattered.”
Mr Boyle added that it was “like a scene from the film Notting Hill” every time his sister opened the door of her home. He also criticised Simon Cowell and the production team behind Britain’s Got Talent team for not providing Susan with sufficient support. “The problem is, she’s got too big for the show – we’ve got a star on our hands now,” he said.
Susan Boyle singing “I Don’t Know how to Love Him”
At her parent’s golden wedding anniversary celebration in 1986
An early video has been unearthed by the Daily Mirror showing Susan Boyle singing when she was just 25 years old.
The footage was taken during the celebrations of her parent’s golden anniversary wedding celebrations 23 years ago in 1986. It shows Susan singing “I Don’t Know How To Love Him” acapella. Her sweet voice fills the room as her audience listens in awe. She was singing at the Welcome Pub, in Blackburn, her home town in West Lothian.
Her brother Gerard said: ?It was a very emotional night. It goes quiet when Susan sings, it always does. She always has that effect.
?The week before she went on Britain?s Got Talent she sang Ave Maria at my mother-in-law?s funeral and stunned the church.?
Astonishing that it is only now, 23 years later, that this hidden talent has been uncovered.
Susan Boyle Evades Boyfriend Question on Today Show
Susan Boyle appeared on the NBC’s Today show on Friday 17th April, but declined to answer the question: Have you got a boyfriend yet?
Last weekend when Susan appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, she said that she was 47 and had “never been married, never been kissed”
As of yesterday, more than 25 million people had viewed Susan Boyle’s performance on YouTube, so Today presenter Meredith Vieira asked Boyle if there had been any male suitors (not counting Piers Morgan) beating a path to her door.
Boyle laughed a girly laugh, and chortled, “No comment.”
Matt Lauer admitted that he’s watched her video “12 or 14 times”, though Boyle, sitting at home and talking in America via a satellite link, said the reaction from everywhere in the world “hasn’t sunk in yet.”
Simon Cowell has however commented (on GMTV) that Boyle winning “Britain’s Got Talent” is by no means a “done deal”. Cowell added “There are some acts that you haven’t seen yet, it’s not quite the one-horse race you are going to think this is.”
