Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle is a superstar now. She could, if she chose, take a limousine and shop in the most expensive and exclusive designer boutiques in the world. She could do a “Pretty Woman” and have a browse down Rodeo Drive.

However, Susan, it appears, has not had her head turned by the trappings of fame and fortune. Despite having the most pre-ordered album of all time, Susan took a number 557 bus from her home in Blackburn to the nearby town of Bathgate to go on a shopping spree, according to an article in The Sun.

Shunning designer stores (actually, I don’t know if there are any designer stores in Bathgate), Susan visited her favourite clothes store,? M&Co.

Janice Hendry, the manager of the shop, was delighted. She said: “She’s been a customer for years so it was no surprise to see her coming in.

?A few people were asking her for autographs and she was great with them, posing for photos and everything.

?Other than that she is treated as a normal customer.

“I asked why she still shopped here now she’s famous. She said to me, ‘Nothing wrong with that.’ ”

Susan bought a longline cardigan and two pairs of trousers, and chatted happily with fans who greeted her, posing for photos.
