I think it is the best thing for Susan to move to London, closer to the airport, the studio and just the action in London, concerts, plays, wonderful shopping etc. I don't think Susan has ever intended to stay in Blackburn forever. She said as much in the Harper's article way back in Aug. or Sept. "she doesn't have plans to move back to Blackburn, 'I'll go back to visit, but you have to move on sometime'". She said the same thing to Ivo in the interview when he asked her if "this will be your home forever - not forever just for now". The time to move on has arrived, breakins, brothers and what could she possibly have in common with the people in Blackburn any more. She hadn't any friends there before fame and I'm sure she must know anyone befriending her now are because of her fame. Think of all the fun she'll have decorating a new home and I bet you'll see her losing weight as she will be so busy just like she did last summer. I think she was a bit lonely last summer as she didn't know many people in London, but she does now. I just say to Susan enjoy your new life, you've certainly earned it.

Nanny1, I am definitely concerned about Susan's safety, as you are. However, I'm just not convinced that moving to London is the best way to ensure her safety. It would cost a whole lot less to provide really good around the clock security at her home in Blackburn than to move her to London to a fancy suite. I'm afraid I just don't see this being in Susan's best interest. She has spoken many times about her memories in her home, and community. She is clearly a small town girl at heart.

She is also well known to be a frugal person. Living it up in the expensive quarters you can be sure they'll set up for her in London does not reflect that. I don't hold any of this against Susan. What my gut is telling me is that she's just giving into pressure (or possibly being deceived by their smooth talking ways) since she doesn't have a lot of experience yet with the high end of the entertainment industry.

When we were all cheering for her to win, we all fell in love with the "simplicity" and "authenticity" that Susann really has in her own personal way. The message to all was that you don't have to be physically beautiful and extraordinarily wealthy in order to make your mark on the world. Susan made her mark with her true innocence and love of singing. That's what won my heart, and I'm certain it's the same for many others.

There is a lot in the media about Susan's emotional instability while she's going through all of this. If there is even an ounce of truth to any of that, this will only make it worse. Susan will remain grounded at long as she has her home in Blackburn to return to after each touring trip. Her home, her friends there, and yes, her physical surroundings and memories will keep her rooted in reality. I just pray every day that these entertainment idiots are not brainwashing her and ruining the pure heart that she won us all over with during her BGT competition.

Susan you will remain in my prayers. Don't lose your faith, and especially don't lose sight of who you really are inside. That's what we all fell in love with.

How lonely is she going to be now? What about her neighbors, her local pub, memories of her mother in that house? Personally I think it's sad and that someday Susan may hit a wall emotionally. But I suppose in a way it was inevitable.

marg1 If you listen to the dutch interview she said this was her home for the time being. I really think they should move her to a more secure spot for her on safety. They are not saying she will be in london for ever. And this would give the power that be time maybe to enhance the security around her place in blackburn that when she does go their will feel safe. You know it only takes one time and that could be the end.God Bless You Suaan STAY SAFE

I still wonder if Susan isn't just giving in to excessive pressure from the "powers that be" by agreeing to move. She's always said she didn't want to move from her lifelong home in Blackburn. She has so many memories of her mother and other family members there. That is very important to her. She's also a small town girl and may only live in the city for a short time before it drives her crazy. I know because I'm a small town girl and can only stand the city for a short period of time before I want to get out of there. Susan has lived her whole life in a small town. I just hope this doesn't become too much for her and that she finds herself resenting this. Only time will tell.
