Susan Boyle Duet with Elaine Paige
Here is another chance to watch the duet between Susan Boyle and Elaine Paige, first broadcast on Susan’s TV Special “I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story”. Susan and Elaine sing “I Know Him So Well” from the musical Chess, a beautiful song written by the Abba boys Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus with lyrics from Tim Rice.

I’ve watched this 50 zillion times but could not resist clicking to watch again when I saw it here.
Just watched this…I sure that Susan’s dream of singing like Elaine Page made this a very special moment for her!
Elaine Page’s voice is almost terrible compared to Susan. I would prefer to hear the song just sung by Susan alone – would be much prettier.
My daughter, when first hearing you,Susan, sing hit the nail on the head when she said,”She gets so much emotion out ot every note that she sings”. I just heard you sing,”Wings To Fly” WOW!!!!!
We love you. You are such a beautiful person. You may not have won the talent show, “Britain’s Got Talent”, but YOU WON “The World’s Got Talent”. I am waiting anxiously for your next CD.
God Bless,
MZ
What a heavenly gift youv’e been given. The only thing better would be to hear angels singing in heaven.
Susan, I have an immense amount of respect and admiration for you. Your talent ia a truly beautiful thing. Your charm and sincerity are so refreshing!!! I wish you much success and happiness. The lord has blessed you and us with your wonderful gift. Sincerely, Kathleen
Susan looks both so delighted and so at home in this duet. I love how it changes her whole stage presence to have the hand mic. I wish the people producing her or these shows would let her take the mic more often. It would let her move more while she sings, and I think she needs to be able to do that.
So glad that Susan was able to realize one of her dreams – singing with Elaine Page. But she doesn’t have to aspire to be like Elaine anymore. Susan is so much more genuine with a more controlled and wonderful voice. Love to Susan and God’s blessings.
Susan, you are truly an inspiration to all who admire your singing. We love you!
Would it not be wonderful if this could be included on the next C.D.?
Every bit as good as the original with Barbara Dixon. Susan no longer has to aspire to be like Elaine Paige – she has eclipsed her!
This is so beautiful. Susan is as good if not better then Elaine Paige (her idol). I heard what Elaine Paige said and she could not be further off the mark. I also notice that when Susan started to sing she got great applause, not Paige. Do we detect a note of jealousy? What a talent Susan has. She has earned and well deserves all the fame and fortunate she can and has achieved. Please include this duet in the next CD with or without the sour grapes Elaine Paige. I have an idea, record it with Paul Potts!! I can’t wait for your new CD, I have worn out the first one. I bought ten copies for my friends and they have all worn their’s out too. November 22, 2010…too long to wait.
I was so impressed with Susan’s CD, have it downloaded on my pc to enjoy often. Regarding her duet with Elaine Paige, I came away with the same thoughts as expressed by others above. Susan does have a fantastic voice, very controlled and well trained, and such a pleasure to hear! Somewhere I heard that Barbara S. made a wonderful comment about Susan. Said Susan is a real storyteller with her songs, and not too many people can do that.
I’m so glad to know that another CD is in the works – finally!
Enjoy all your successes, Susan! Love ya!
If according to Elaine Paige ;Susan Boyle is to be considered like a virus because of Bpyle’s sudden rise to fame as a singer ..then Elaine Paige should be considered as an illussion of yesterday when her pretty face opened the entertainment world’s doors for her.
Susan Boyle’s singing pleases the ear with purity of sound; which when viewed on the stage , it is unaffected by improvised modulations or compensating theatrical manerisms.
Perhaps the harshly opinionated teacher , should now take a second look and learn from her virulent pupil.
I hope the chosen song for the duet on Susan’s new album is “I know him so well”!
