Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle has turned down an invitation to attend the Annual Correspondents’ Dinner, which was held in Washington DC on May 9th, according to an article in today’s News of the World.

American TV networks had been keen for Ms Boyle to have attended the event, at which President Barack Obama was guest of honour.

Had Susan atteneded, she would have rubbed shoulders with Hollywood’s elite. Invitations to the event were said to be like “gold dust”.

However, our Susan was said to be too nervous to attend the event, although a source said:

“She knows she would have been incredibly nervous if she’d gone, but her dream is to sing for President Obama one day.

“She loves him and thinks he is already a terrific president.”

Apparently the US president has seen the clips of Susan on television and is said to have loved her voice.

It is likely that Susan would prefer to stay at home and prepare herself for the semi final of Britain’s Got Talent, where rumour has it that she may be choosing an Andrew Lloyd Webber song to sing.
