Susan Boyle and Pebbles

Author: There are lots of media stories around at the moment about how Susan Boyle isn’t living with Pebbles any more. However, those of you who watched the Dutch TV interview that Susan did last week will know that this is old news. There is no need to blow this out of proportion – Pebbles is temporarily living with with retired accountant Pamela Eaton-Browne whilst Susan is travelling all the time, so that Pebbles the pussy is not constantly disrupted.
If Pamela Eaton-Browne has any space, I wonder if she wouldn’t mind looking after me. I hear that Pebbles has chicken at lunchtime and for tea has poached or steamed fish. One could do a lot worse…

Yes, Susan has been telling people for months that Pebbles “is being well looked after by a very nice lady in London named Pam.” I think it was her way of breaking the news gently to Pebbles fans, but most people really weren’t hearing it.
I agree, Suzanne, that it must have been a difficult choice for Susan to give Pebbles up, even if it is just temporary (although I wonder about that now). And it must have broken her heart to have her sweet cat go and hide the last time she went to visit.
Oh, and FYI, Mandy: I don’t mean to embarrass you, but I just wanted to caution you about the use of the word “pussy” with American audiences. We never use the word in reference to a cat any more, since it’s slang for a certain, um, region of the female anatomy.

Seems Pebbels is being treated better then some humans. A warm home and a proper diet – with love/care. What else is there. Not like some people that just open their doors and let the cats/kittens fend for themselves. I hear about children that don’t have it so well.
I think it took a lot of love on Susan’s part to leave the cat in good hands, rather than selfishly uprooting the animal every time she travels. Cats do not travel as easily as dogs do, and even for a dog the amount of traveling Susan does would be so hard on the animal. They do not understand what’s going on. They’re territorial and like their own homes.
Hey Susan. I’am a cat lover and have 11 living in my home. I wouldn’t have it any other way. you did what was best for your loving friend. My hats off to you. I still watch you on U-Tube and your beautiful voice still brings tears to my eyes. Screw the people that keep picking on you.
On another note, my mom is slowly going from my sight. She was a huge fan of Susan (I am, too.). I will use two of Susan’s songs from her CD at the funeral. Thank you, Susan, you are a wonderful inspiration to all.
Please leave this poor woman alone! Her only “crime” was to have an Angelic, G-d-given voice that totally does not look like it could come from her……………but it does. She is underexposed in this nasty world and has lived a sequestered life in a small village from the 18th or 19th century……………all of a sudden she is tossed out into the world like she’d been raised to stardom. If she wants her cat or if she wants a steak and kidney pie……………give it to her! And try to leave her with some normalcy and some dignity.

Hey fellow Susan Boyle fans. Can’t you see you’ve been misled a bit here guys for quite a while?
On her official website they’ve suddenly posted this revisionist message: “As fans will know, Susan has often said when asked about her cat, ‘Pebbles is very well and being looked after by a lovely lady in London’.”
That has never been said before! Her publicity people are only saying that because the Daily Mirror in London have exposed the truth – that Susan has only had contact with Pebbles three times since last July.
Before that, they were pumping out untrue stories – often spreads in the Daily Mail – about how close Susan was to Pebbles, how she couldn’t bear to be apart from her cat. And they had the cheek to create a clothing line based around Pebbles – the cat she hardly ever sees.
And no press reports claimed that Susan had abandoned Pebbles. The Mirror story simply pointed out that she hardly has any contact with Pebbles.
And the friend Pamela did not wish to remain anonoymous as her official website claims – in fact she chose to do a full interview in the newspaper. You can see a more full version if you search for the Daily Record story (they are a sister newspaper of the Mirror in Scotland).
I love Susan as much as all of you, but don’t be misled like this by her publicity machine – they have been caught out telling white lies to fans here for quite some time and I’m glad this story exposed the truth.
Golly, gee whiz! Leave Susan have a normal life, enjoy her singing,send her loving fan mail and that sort of stuff. But stop examaning every little move that she makes under that microscope.
Her cat is happy and well cared for,and by far, better off now than if she/he were placed in some kennel somewhere, every time Susan has to leave town to sing.
I too am a senior citizen and if my church will allow it I plan to have a couple of her songs played at my funeral as well. But, hopefully,I have many more years to enjoy that angelic voice while I am still on this earth! A loving and adoring fan of Susan’s!
I’m also a senior citizen and I have never taken to another singer like I have Susan Boyle!! I seem to get tears in my eyes everytime I hear her sing. What a God given talent she has and hopefully she will make more CD’s. I do have her CD “Dream. Just finished a new hardcover book written by Alice Montgomery entitled SUSAN BOYLE “DREAMS CAN COME TRUE” and it was wonderful! It had 246 pages and some pictures. It was great! I ordered it from Amazon and received it before I was supposed to. Got it last week and hated to put it down. I would like to join a Fan Club if there is one out there. Thank you so much Susan!!
Why do people keep saying that Susan’s angelic voice does not look like it could come from her? Susan not only sings better and better with each performance she looks more and more attractive with each performance. I thought she looked quite glamourous at her performance in Denmark.
And wasn’t she adorable during her interview with the Dutch gentleman?
