Susan Boyle has been giving advice to the X Factor’s John and Edward Grimes, aka Jedward, to help them cope with the boos and abuse they have been receiving whilst appearing on the X Factor.

Criticism of the boys has mounted due to their evident lack of vocal talent, whilst each week ‘better’ singers are eliminated from the show. Susan met John and Edward before she recorded her performance for The X Factor, which will be broadcast tonight on ITV in the UK.

She has been advising Jedward on how to cope with the negative reactions they have been receiving.

A source told the Telegraph: “She spoke to them about her experiences and especially how to cope afterwards.

“She also talked to them about some of the bullying comments she got from people before the final about her appearance.

“People have said John and Edward are like a freak show, which is what they were saying about Susan.

“She said it was important that they had ways of dealing with the criticism.”
