Queen requests Susan Boyle at The Royal Variety Performance
The Queen has personally requested that Susan Boyle appears at the Royal Variety Performance, according to an article in The Sun.
However, in the unlikely event that Susan doesn’t win BGT that could cause a problem – because only the winner is supposed to appear in front of the Queen.
Meanwhile, Amanda Holden has invited Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher to watch Susan Boyle in the BGT final, offering Simon Cowell’s private jet as transport.

The queen is smart-she picked the most talented, versatile, and long last talent of them all.
BGT should limit the talent search to 16 year-old contestants and above, no matter how talented each of the contestants are.
An 11 year-old, let alone a 48 year old, is not equipped to deal with everything htat comes along with winning one of these contests.
Never judge a book by its cover. My husband and I love hearing her sing, I have lost count on how many times we cried listening to her voice. I know susan will get to sing for her Queen. Good luck to susan and keep inspiring the world.
the “so called” queen, is NO queen, compared to the talent of Susan Boyle !!!
Susan Boyle no doubt has a tender/gentle/passionate heart that comes through in her music…………..Alas, never judge a book by its cover, you could be deceived.
I disagree with Nancy Stein. Judging by the success of last years winner, a 14 year old, i think you are pretty catergorically proved wrong.
Additionally, Susan Boyle should not win. She’s grew to epitomise the fact that people are judged by their ‘cover’. It, however, is hugely hypocritical as you are still not judging her by who she is, but instead by her voice.
Generally; yes she has a good voice but she is not as talented as some of the other contestants. She’s simply got the attention she has because she’s not considered to be attractive.

Susan should win, she sing so well, is a plesaure listen her. What voice!!
Who say is no attractive? I think she was concentrate in other issues and no in her image.
Please Susan do not get upset and no cry. Feel happy, content and fresh to perform you best Saturday!!
Heck … the Queen can invite whomever she wants to come and sing. It is after all the “royal” variety show and not the “BGT” variety show.
For that matter, the Queen can ask Susan to come sing for her all by her ownself … so there.
great news i really do hope this isnt just gossip i hope she does the royle show and shows the public that she is the real winner i love susan and she should of won but she was always the real winner she will go on to be a massive success lets keep on suporting susan and make her britains next best thing i think shes a natoinal tresure
I hope this is true. My husband and I go to the RVP every year. We would love, love, love, Susan Boyle to perform this year! What a treat it would be.
In addition to Diversity, I think it would be great to add several of this years acts to perform for the Queen. I would love to see the following acts added: Sue Son, Natalie Okri, 2 Grand, Julian Smith, Susan Boyle and Hollie Steel.
If I were running the Royal Variety Show in addition to Diversity I would add several of this years contestants to perform for the Queen.
I would add: Sue Son, Natalie Okri, Julian Smith, 2 Grand, Susan Boyal and Hollie Steel. I believe they are all sufficiently talented
and would be welcomed by the Queen. All of these people, each a different story, not only would add entertainment but would serve the nation well as it heals from the current economic enviorment.
Seems inevitable Susan Boyle will not just receive an audience with her majesty, but a knighthood or special award. Who else has highlighted the UK so successfully, so quickly in all its history? Susan Boyle and her accomplished voice are a natural phenomenon. For those critics who think she is a flash in the pan, time will prove you o so wrong. Susan Boyle has already changed the world.
Susan Boyle has the talent and that is what counts. People all over the world need a Susan Boyle in these hard times. I can’t wait till Susan comes out with a record.
Oh how I feel that Susan really was the real winner in yesterdays BGT… The wrong voting number was placed by some jerks on most of the youtube sites for susan Boyle… I saw somebody say ( on several of the sites ) that if you wanted to vote for Susan then phone; ….. This sadly wasn’t Susans voting line but Diveristy’s line…!! i’m not trying to imply that Diveristy weren’t good or anything, but I feell absolutely sure that Susan was “robbed” off her victory by some pranks!! However, winning or not in BGT really isn’t going to affect Susan’s future success! I for one LOVE this classy looking and magnificant sounding lady!! -She sure had my vote! I shall also be the first to the shops once her future career is let loose, be it cd’s, performances, films, interviews, books and the like. However, I also feel appalled and utterly ashamed at how the tabloids, papers and some people has been treating Susan…. To have been vastly ignored after several “failed” attempts to follow her dream of becoming a successful singer all her life up till now, to finally get a breakthrough – to get her 3 minutes to prove herself worthy, and to then become an over night sensation and the most talked about woman on the planet is a HUGE MAJOR thing in anybodys life. Most people could not even begin to imagine how tuff, difficult and trying this must be for Susan. What I’m trying to say is; If Susan has become over tired, depressed, a bag full of nerves or short tempered with all that the media has had to say -THEN IS IT ANY WONDER THAT SHE HAS “STRUGGLED TO COPE”?? Who wouln’d budge or shift awkwardly under such enormous preassure, expectation and media exposure!!! Susan is only human. She’s a wonderful human with real feelings like you and me. Just bear that in mind before speaking and don’t be so quick to judge other peoples so called mistakes. You people that have done that should be ashamed of yourselves!! Susan; You’re a real woman in my eyes – a real woman with more courage and grace that I could ever dream of possessing and for that reason I love you unconditionally. Susan Boyle; you’re beautiful inside and out and you outshined any other contestants that very first day you performed in BGT!! LOVE you and all the best for now! XXXXxxxx
When Susan smiles it is strait from her heart not like the fake smiles of some performers, now she can settle down without the pressure of BGT, and record some very beautiful songs with her wonderful God given voice.
Susan is already the winner, dear Queen even before the final. Performing in front of the Queen is Susan Boyle’s mum’s last wish and is also Susan’s dream. Make it happen for them.
When Susan sings its straight from her heart, she should have won b,g,t,I hope she will make a album,
I wonder how many people tried to vote using Skype – I tried and couldn’t, the 09011 number “wasn’t supported by Skype” although other premium rate numbers are! Still, it’s a shallow win for the brilliant dance act that did make it because they can’t outshine Ms Boyle’s talent or do anything at all about the worldwide fan base she now has and neither can BGT. They’re all using her name to get people to watch their youtube videos. I hope Ms Boyle recovers quickly. I’m looking forward to being able to buy her CDs and watch her performances globally – I wonder if her performance at the White House will be posted anywhere?
I am surely not alone in considering the outcome of BGT last Saturday to be peverse. It seemed that a week of gratuitous malevolence from certain sections of the media created a negative personal impression of Susan and consequently unduly influenced the voting at the final. Sadly, many ordinary members of the public who supported Susan, presumed she would win by a landslide and felt there was no need to lift a phone and vote – big mistake! The other two finalists were of course extraordinarily good, but the first place should have been Susan’s – by a mile. As regards part of the winner’s prize to perform in the presence of the Queen at the next Royal Variety Performance, I think a more equitable outcome would be for all three finalists to perform, leaving the winners with their ?100K cash prize. Susan’s health and welfare in coping with all this must of course be the immediate priority, and I wish her all that she would wish for her future. God bless you, Susan, and well done!
Susan you were the winner on Saturday night, you captivated the world with your voice and the world want’s you to sing eg: The Queen, Presedent Obama and all the rest of your fans. Please ignore the dreadful Tabloids .The World want’s you to sing, you are a Star and your voice is loved by so many. Go Bless
One could be tempted to ask Susan Boyle, if in her life from youth to adulthood had not exposes her to loser and winner scenariou. we should expected the junior one in the show behave strange not an adult like her, or maybe one could ask her to explain the act of flashing her undies after loosing. thats is could embaracing and weird for the Queen to see.
Walk in her shoes, Austin, before you pass judgement.
Susan’s happiness and well-being is of prime importance, especially as she is such a lovely person and she has brought so much joy and pleasure to people worldwide. I don’t mind what she chooses to do – even if she never appears in public again. BUT I will be in the (long, long) queue of admirers waiting to buy her CD, if that is what she chooses to do.
I don’t know what all the fuss is about. Yes Susan can sing but it is nothing special. I feel the public are getting into a frenzy about nothing. She will no doubt go on to make an album and people will make it a hit, but i hope they buy the album for all the right reasons and not because of all the hype. Diversity diserved to win. They are talented, entertaining and with something new to offer. So please lets just remember this is a talent contest not the be all and end all in the grand scheme of things.
I REALLY HOPE SUSAN BOYLE GETS INVITED TO SING IN RVP- NOT AS WINNER OF BGT BUT AS A SENSATIONAL NEW BRITISH SINGER TO EMMERGE FROM THE PRESENT GLOOM AND DOOM (ALMOST lIKE THE PHOENIX RISING FROM THE ASHES) A SINGER IN HER OWN RIGHT.
IF SHE SINGS FOR THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT SURELY SHE MUST SING FOR HER OWN QUEEN.
COME ON MA’AM, SILENCE HER CRITICS AND SEND HER THE GOLDEN INVITATION AND COME ON SUSAN WITH SOME REALLY POWERFUL EMOTIONAL SONGS THAT WILL SEND SUCH A WAVE OF TEARS AND THUNDEROUS APPLAUDING RIGHT ACROSS THE WORLD!
YOUR MOMENT OF TRUE GLORY AND I CAN’T WAIT!
Susan has a husky, vibrant, emotional tone when she sings. I cannot think of any singer at this time that can even compete with her. I wish her the best of luck, good health and look forward to seeing and hearing her in the near future including purchasing her album
England is very lucky to have found such a voice in these hard times. In 1944 I got to see and hear Kate Smith sing. She was one of our shining stars during a very tough time. Susan Boyle has the same singing voice that will bring people together during the hard times that the world faces today.
I know your Queen will love her.
Here in American we already love her.
this is the kind of performance the queen would prefer to watch.
Another important issue is that Susan was the only singer to win.Now that is a very good issue.
The circumstances are very different too and especially with youtube getting her phone number wrong! so let the viewers see justice being done.
thank you.
The Queen should invite Susan has her guest to watch Diversity perform. I am sure the Queen has already heard her sing, she probably has her audition song on her Ipod.
I quite agree. I have no idea if Her Majesty has heard Susan sing, but I’m sure that if she has she would be delighted if Susan were to be allowed to sing for her on The Royal Variety Show.
Come on people, Susan Boyle is OVERRATED to the max!! The only reason why people took a liking to her was because she doesn’t look the part and ! Her voice isn’t AMAZING, it’s definitely good but not amazing, it was basically all just hype!
If you believe she is overrated, why are you visiting a Susan Boyle fan site? I’m not interested in cars, so I wouldn’t visit a Ferrari website and post that the car is “overrated”. I just wouldn’t think about it.
I absolutely agree with you my friend. The anon poster only said what he said because he just wants to be just another one of those people that have nothing to nice to say. I would say that hes a real coward and has no clue what real talent is…Susan deserves the fame she has received and one day i am sure will sing for the queen.
Dear Susan Boyle Fan,
I wanted to thank you for your wonderful fansite.
Regarding such a lowlife who doesn’t have anything good to say about Susan Boyle (and who hides behind the illusion of the anonymity on the internet), there are tools that can locate your visitors (as example this one : http://www.maploco.com/ ). Of course, this is a simple suggestion.
Susan Boyle forever !
Sincerely,
Kate
I am not British, but I think it is fair to assume that the queen supports the interests of her subjects by such things as listening to, or watching an act which they have chosen. I cannot see a problem with her requesting another act which she enjoys. A commitment to audition one popular act should not preclude her from choosing additional components for her variety performance. (After all, is it not a “variety” performance program?
she have may have not won bgt, but she won hearts and I hope she is able to perform for the Queen then she will have dreamed her dream.
Nika, I agree with you 110%. This is what you posted:
” Nika says:
May 29, 2009 at 10:37 pm Heck ? the Queen can invite whomever she wants to come and sing. It is after all the ?royal? variety show and not the ?BGT? variety show.
For that matter, the Queen can ask Susan to come sing for her all by her ownself ? so there.”
My sentiments exactly. There is an online petition for her to sing in front of the Queen.
ATTN all you naysayers: please follow my late mum’s advise: “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.”
Here’s hoping Susan gets to sing for the Queen. She has perservered through negative press and exhaustion and received standing ovations everywhere she has performed. The Queen likes her type of music and if its about the Queen enjoying herself, she would, I am sure. There are always naysayers in the world, but this little Scotswoman is going from triumph to triumph. That says it all. Let’s hope Lizzie asks for her again!
Well, she can at least sing national anthem that day! I love her and the Queen, the Queen makes me proud to be British. Nowdays, politicans are disgrace… only the Queen is the reason we all should be proud of!
